Omdurman Dialysis Center
Our first center, serving patients in Omdurman since November 2021.

HACF’s first direct-care facility
The Omdurman Dialysis Center was the first facility established by HACF, opening its doors in November 2021. Built to accommodate 60 dialysis machines, the center currently operates 20 active machines, providing free dialysis treatment to patients who cannot afford care.
During the Sudan conflict, the center sustained damage that temporarily disrupted operations. In December 2024, we completed major repairs and renovation work, restoring the facility to full operational capacity.
The center serves as a critical lifeline for patients in Omdurman and surrounding areas. In August 2026, HACF completed a 176 kW solar installation that significantly improved power stability for dialysis operations and strengthened the center’s ability to support future transplant services.
Building resilient dialysis care and preparing for transplantation
Since opening, the Omdurman center has provided thousands of dialysis sessions to patients who would otherwise have limited access to treatment. The center continues to operate with a dedicated clinical and support team focused on safe, compassionate care.
HACF began implementation of a major solar project in December 2025, with an estimated project cost of approximately $200,000. The 176 kW system was completed in August 2026 and has addressed a major power-reliability challenge for the center, improving continuity for dialysis operations.
In January 2026, HACF began planning and fundraising for a kidney transplantation section at Omdurman. By September 2026, construction had reached its final stages. The transplant center is estimated at approximately $350,000 and represents a major expansion of HACF’s long-term kidney-care mission.
